Yoga has helped me overcome obstacles in life for many years. Although it can be challenging to make it part of your daily or weekly routine when you do it only brings positive change.
Thank you for taking a moment to find out about the people or person behind this site. My name is Cassandra Bacon and I started this site to help others enrich their lives through the practice of yoga. My passion has always been to help others but I believe one cannot truly help to make the world a better place in that manner until they begin with bettering themselves. After years in the professional world filled with stress I have come full circle.
Throughout my life I have had many positive experiences with yoga and it is now with this avenue which I feel I can fulfill my passion. My first experience was in High School in the early 90’s when I purchased a book for the beginner. That book was focused on a simple series of routines that was designed to build one’s knowledge of the practice over 30 days by completing daily routines that increased in difficulty gradually. It took me about 45 days to actually do yoga every day for 30 days straight completing every routine. When I was done I found that I felt physically and mentally better then I had ever felt before even though I was an athletic teenager year round. The practice also helped me with other ailments like insomnia.
That single experience impacted my life from that point forward. Although I drifted away from yoga later on I have drifted back as an adult as I find myself experiencing other physical challenges in life that come along with stress and chaos every day. I know from my past with yoga that it can help me center my being and find physical awareness to overcome challenges there with pain relief. One of the bigger benefits is that with this practice it is possible to alleviate many personal challenges physically and mentally that would otherwise be costly to deal with utilizing modern medicine.
So I have created this site to build on my passion and by doing so achieve my personal goal of finding peace not only for myself but along the way to help others achieve this as well. I want to make all the tools available through this site to anyone who wishes to pursue the practice of yoga so they can easily find a reliable source of information that is trustworthy and a forum to share their experiences to maximize personal growth. Ultimately together we can help make the world more peaceful one person at a time. So this site is my humble stones throw into the pond of life. May it create ripples of peace in our world of chaos.
